Scenic Drive: April 27 - 28, 2013

As a part of the Scenic Drive on Saturday April 27 the Bollinger County Museum will present "Pre-Revolutionary Living History demonstration by Zenon River Brigade. Two presentation times - 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m. and1:30p.m.-2:30p.m. Both presentations will include flint lock weapons firing demonstrations and a demonstration of flint & steel fire starting, plus other living history from the early 1700s including what a frontiersman carried for survival, styles of clothing, styles of powder horns, food , knives, bedrolls, and shelter, and how all of this was used when traveling form one village to another.

Museum hours for the Scenic Drive are Saturday, April 27 from 9:00AM-5:00PM and Sunday, April 28 from Noon-5:00PM

 


Show Me Days:  May 18, 2013

 

Featuring SEMO Explorer Bus (a 38 foot long mobile teaching and learning center). The bus will feature NASA: Spirit of Discovery. Admission to bus is free. Exhibits and activities geared to grades 3-6. From past experience visitors of all ages have enjoyed visiting the Explorer Bus.


Other activities include a Missouri Artisans & Crafts Show and Sale on the museum lawn.


Bollinger County Museum hours for May 18 will be 10:00AM-4:30PM. Admission to the museum is $2 per Adult and $1 for ages 18 years and under.
