Lumberjack Sports International presents the 2007 “STIHL”IRONJACK Timber Team Outfitted by Cabela’s”. The tour feature athletes as seen on the Outdoor Life Network and ESPN. These world class forest sports athletes compete in a decathlon of timber events designed to challenge even the heartiest lumberjacks. From the precision and control required for the axe throw, to the power and technique needed for the springboard chop, the IRONJACK decathlon is like no other. Events include single buck sawing, obstacle pole, Iogrolling, hot saw and the out of control speed climbing of a 50-foot tree that ends in a free-fall.

These powerful timber athletes compete each year on OLN in the “IRONJACK” Series & Lumberjack World Championships and the ESPN Great Outdoor Games. Many of the athletes on tour spend time in ketchikan, Alaska where they perform and compete in front of more than 100,000 visitors each year, most of who arrive on one of the 26 major cruise ships that enter the port each week.

Lumberjack Sports International, with offices in Alaska and Wisconsin, is the World’s Largest Producer of Timber Events and Competitions. President and three-time World Champion Speed Climber Rob Scheer has been a top competitor and sports producer in the field for many years. His long-term partnership with major sponsors STIHL Inc. and Cabela’s has proven a great combination for action packed live exhibitions production.

Performing several exhibition competitions a day, approximately 30 minutes in length, the lumberjacks must be in top form. Only the best Athletes become members of the “STIHL lronjack Timber Team Outfitted by Cabela’s”. Following the show, athletes are available to sign autographs and answer questions about competing and equipment. The show is not only filled with fierce competition but offers family entertainment that will and excite audiences with logging history, tall tales and comedy sure to keep you coming back for another performance.
